Bugatti Type 35T 1926 Targa Florio Winner - 1:8 Scale Model Car

    Product Details

The Bugatti Type 35T is limited to only 99 editions.

    USD $15,392.00

Quite simply the most successful racing Bugatti of all time, the Bugatti Type 35 took the Grand Prix World Championship in 1926 after winning 351 races and setting 47 records in 1924 and 1925. The 35 proved to be particularly handy at the Targa Florio, winning the Sicilian race for five consecutive years from 1925 to 1929. The Type 35 was still so relevant in 1929 that William Grover-Williams drove one to victory in the first Monaco Grand Prix to be repeated in 1930 by Rene Dreyfus. This model is of Bartolomeo ‘Meo’ Costantini’s victorious stead as raced at the seventieth running of the Targa Florio in 1926, where Bugatti dominated with a 1-2-3 victory. A close friend of Ettore Bugatti, Costantini retired from racing at the end of 1926 and took over as full time racing team manager from Ettore himself.

    Amalgam Models

Amalgam Collection creates models at a range of scales. For those of you unfamiliar with the way the system works, these scales represent the ratio between the size of a model and its full size counterpart. Here are the scales they make with the average lengths of the model alongside. Put simply, the bigger the number to the right of the colon, the smaller the model car:

    1:18…...25 cms (10 inches) long

    1:12…...38 cms (15 inches) long

    1:8….....60 cms (24 inches) long

    1:5….....92 cms (36 inches) long

    1:4. ….120 cms (48 inches) long

Amalgam's primary focus is on collections at 1:18 and 1:8 scales. It’s at those scales they create the majority of their model range, with just a few examples at the other scales. Bespoke models are only available at the bigger 1:8 scale and they tend to build one-offs at the even bigger 1:5 or 1:4
