White Desert: The Greatest Day - 1 Day Tour

White Desert is the only company in the world to offer a private jet service to Antarctica. The Gulfstream has space for up to 12 guests and members of the White Desert staff will accompany the flight. Day Before Departure

A safety briefing will be held in Cape Town. Cape Town is home to award-winning vineyards and stunning ocean vistas and is often described as one of the most beautiful cities in the world.We will host a safety briefing the day before the flight where our staff will explain all kit requirements, assist with any last minute preparations and updates as to the latest weather forecasts in Antarctica.



The Greatest Day

We travel to Antarctica in uncompromised comfort in a Gulfstream private jet, across thousands of icebergs as we pass over the Southern Ocean. During the 5 hour flight, we cross into the polar circle and into 24hrs continuous daylight. landing on the specialist ice runway, you will transfer to our camp and go for a gentle trek around the oasis.

You will then be guided on a gentle hike to the base of a near by mountain where we will host an adventurer’s picnic. For the more daring, one of our seasoned mountain guides will lead you to the summit to take in the spectacular views of the Wolf’s Fang range.

Activities Include

Nunatak Climb

Scale a nearby Nunatak and marvel at the view with the nearby Wolf's Fang Peak occupying the northern horizon.

Scenic Flight

Transfer from the Gulfstream onto a smaller propellor plane. We can now soar amongst the colossal spires of rock rising vertically out of the ice.

6x6 Excursions

Specially adapted 6x6 vehicles are available for a tour of the mountains that encircle the runway.

Fat Bikes

Take turns racing your friends on a groomed track alongside the runway. This is mountain-biking but on a different planet.

Champagne Picnic

After hiking to the top of a rugged peak with views to every horizon, you will celebrate by sipping a cocktail with 1000-year-old glacial ice and a freshly prepared picnic.
